It must be working!

My 15 minute challenge, that is!
Pinwheels for Caroline, by Lori Smith, is coming along nicely.
I am intrigued by the ocean waves blocks in the second border.
I need to add the last dark border and then another UFO can be deleted from my list.

I did succumb to temptation though.
Primitive Pumpkins is on my design wall.

It is a good thing my mojo returned!
The girls at TOWQS are back from market and will have lots of new temptation waiting the next time I visit.  One of them is this new pattern from Primitive Gatherings.
They are saving a kit for me.
It might take priority over my fall quilt since 4th of July is just around the corner.
Looks like it will be fast and easy to do.

My goal is to finish my Pinwheel quilt by the end of the month
and then move on to finishing my Xmas BOM during June.

15 Minutes a Day

Desperately searching for my quilting mojo,
I decided to try the 15 minute a day challenge I had read about over at Paper Napkin Poetry.
Inspired by Kate at Life in Pieces,
Libby was making progress, so would it work for me.
Soon, I found 15 minutes became 30 minutes and then sometimes, an hour.
The result...

Next,
Pinwheels for Caroline.

Maybe if I get some of these WIPs and UFOs done, I can move on to something new.
Recently visited Missie over at Hallbrook designs and she is working on a wonderful wool and cotton quilt  called In The Orange Grove.
She is new to blogging and designs traditional quilts and punchneedle with a touch of primitive.
Go here to take a look.
I adore her window treatments and the new finish she put on an old oak table...
very clever!

Right now, I need a new, fast project .
I think this will be it.
This is a pattern designed by Rita Briner and found on the last page of the Fall Winter 2011 Quilt Sampler magazine.
I know I have all I need in my stash.
Maybe one of Lisa Bongean's Seasonal Gatherings for the black border!

Then I will start on this freebie using my Kate Spain Good Fortune fabrics.
I will not piece a four patch in the center though.  Just let the center show off the fabrics.
Many have asked for pattern link.
Here it is:   http://freshlypieced.blogspot.com/2012/05/quiltmakers-100-blocks-blog-tour.html

Back to the sewing machine.
I need to put in my 15 minutes today.
Who knows...
it might become an hour and I will have Pinwheels for Caroline done in no time!

Wool Fever

My Fit to Frame by Lori Smith came back from the frame shop and I am very pleased with it.  Last year I bought this book by Gretchen Gibbons....
and just signed up for a BOM at TOWQS starting in August.

I also bought A Primitive Garden by Lisa Bongean, but plan only to make one block as a small wall hanging.    I have definitely caught wool fever!
