Doll Quilt Exchange

At last...
I can show you the doll quilt I received from Nicky in Christine's doll quilt exchange.
I had given Nicky our Colorado addy and then returned to Arizona before the quilt was posted.  It has been waiting patiently for me to return and claim it.
Nicky's needleturn applique is exquisite!
She chose the 'Oak Leaf and Reel' pattern with my love of all things FALL in mind.  Then, she added teeny, tiny hexies in the corners knowing I love all things miniature.
I ADORE this little quilt and it will take a place of honor in my sewing room.
Thank you Nicky for exchanging with me.
Oops,
here is the quilt I made for Nicky.

Both quilts are marvelous, I might be a little intimidated to get into a swap with such great quilters like you two. Cheryl, how do you post picture of blocks on your site "My Civil War Quilt?"

They are both wonderful - I love how she added the tiny hexies to yours. And of course, you can't go wrong with baskets!

Cheryl, your swap quilt is beautiful, such unusual colours. I too would put it in a special place and admire it from all angles. And Nicky is lucky to get such a lovely little quilt from you too.

Glad to see you are back in Colorado safe and sound. What a wonderful gift to come home to. Nicky's quilt has great colors, I especially love those little hexagon corners.

The miniature you made is gorgeous as well with it's little pieces. Love the pattern.

Can't wait to start some blocks today for the 1880s sampler with the fabrics you sent! Thank you! Will post pics asap :0) Jo
