A Finish!

Yeah, it is officially a finish!
Here are a few closeups of the quilting.

The class I am teaching starts Friday, so done in the nick of time.

I am hand quilting my Abundance quilt, and it isn't turning out as wonderful as I had hoped. My stitches are irregular and my lines are wavy. Inexperienced, but lots of lessons learned. I will share it when it is done.

However, Gathering Garden did perk up after the addition of the some berries.
Giving my fingers a little break, but I should have this one done by the end of the month.
Then I think I will take a break from applique and get back to some machine piecing!
Tackle completing one of my WIPS.

    Absolutely beautiful! Wish I could take your class!
    I learned to accept my wonky hand quilting by looking at antique quilts. They aren't close to perfect but we still ooh and aah over them.
    Are the bold hexies on your list of WIPS?

    I am swooning over your quilts. Wonderful colors and workmanship. I love how your quilting on the border is echo style in one part and moves out into swirls, etc.

    Oh, both are so very beautiful! I just love those basic colors you have used...these are what most of my stash is built from. I have ventured away from them in the past few years, but these are my favorites. I love all of your quilts on your blog when I open it up! The header and now these two...right there for me to be inspired by! Thanks!!

    BEAUTIFUL love the quilt and love the fabrics you chose. I have a few of her books out now just soaking in the inspiration and I know I need to make one of her quilts this year.

    Gathering Garden does come to life with the addition of the berries. Great pattern and lovely work.
    The colouring of the Whig Rose is gorgeous, as is the quilting.
    Bad luck for the 49ers but they did almost make the biggest come back in history didn't they? You didn't sabotage the power did you?

    Beautiful :) The quilt in your header is a Kim Deihl right? Do you know which book it was in? I am looking through mine and can't seem to find it anywhere....panic...lol!
