Christmas Through the Year

I did manage to get another Primitive Gatherings stocking completed.
Santa may be my favorite so far.
Mary, over at Quilt Hollow, inspired me to make a cathedral windows pincushion.
You can find the free pattern here at the Moda Bake Shop.

Now go on over to Darlene's and check out what everyone else made.
And thank you Cheryl for posting such great ideas for gifts to make.

Thanks to my friend, Deb, I have a bottle cap pincushion tutorial.
Who knows, I may have one to share next month.

  1. Nice gifts to add to your Christmas box. Can I add my name to your Christmas list?

  2. Your pincushion is awesome. Well, so it the stocking - it just the pincushion caught my eye today. Excellent work.

  3. That Santa Stocking is just adorable AND the pincushion is just the CUTEST !! I JUST LOVE THEM !

  4. Santa is my favorite stocking, too.

  6. Cute!!! Wasn't that a fun one to make?!

  7. Adorable! I can't imagine working with pieces as small as needed for the bottle cap pincushion!

  8. It's funny someone at work yesterday mentioned that it would be the 1st May tomorrow and that Christmas was just around the corner, the year is speeding by - and here this morning on the 1st May, your little Christmas stocking which is just adorable, has popped up to remind us all that Christmas is indeed on the way, albeit a few months off, but nonetheless LOL!!!!
You did a fine job on the pincushion, such a beautiful design, gorgeous!!!!

  9. Amazing that it is almost May! Let's get started on those holiday gifts and the pin cushion is a great one to start on today.

  10. What a sweet Santa stocking! Your pincushion is gorgeous too!

  11. Thanks for sharing these ideas. I love Santa's loooong beard. That pincushion is very elegant. Lovely.

  12. I love Santa's long beard too! Your pincushion is wonderful...I have made one about 2 years ago...they are tricky little guys to make.

    Happy May Day!

    Carolyn :)

i may have to think about doing this next year . . . by then maybe i'll have eliminated enough of what is on my current to-do list that i can think about it anyway.
